Identity Collage

The first steps I took into this identity collage was to find the right images to input In my collage. After I decided to take a portrait of myself. Then I created my project in photoshop using my portrait as the base, I then put all my images and organized them in the way I wanted. For example I used clipping masks on the paparazzi to put into the ripped pieces of paper. I also used blending modes to darken the look of the cat. My project demonstrates my abstract ideas and loss of identity in a visual art form I used a ripped piece of paper which demonstrates this is a page in my life and in order to move on I have to rip it. the paparazzi represents my dreams of being a successful photographer, the vogue represents my dream of being in vogue or taking pictures for vogue, roses represents my love for editing and photography, The cat is a sign for independence and self reliance.What was successful in my project is being able to put my hands on my face. A problem was the lack of details. I would like to improve this next time by taking more time in selecting more images. I believe I meet the expectation in making a unique identity collage that expresses my self.
